We offer a bunch of great classes here at String Bead. Let our experienced staff teach you the in's and out's of beading. With classes ranging from beginning to advanced beading there's something here for everyone! Our classes are a fun way to learn different beading skills and meet some really great people. Beginning Beading (Materials included) $20.00
In this class you will learn how to make necklaces, bracelets, and anklets using Soft Flex wire, illusion cord, stretch magic, and leather type cord. You will also learn how to make basic earrings using head pins and eye pins.

Carla Hulfish Beaded Beads (Materials not Included) $35.00
Come and learn how to make your own beautiful and original, beaded beads. With the skills and methods you will learn in this class, you will be able to create your own unique beads which you can use to make lovely necklaces, bracelets or even earrings! For this class you will need: Size 15, 11, and 8 seed beads in various colors, or 4mm crystals instead of size 8’s. Needles size 12, Nymo thread size D color of choice.

Learn how to use your tools by making chain with wire and beads. You will also learn how to make a clasp and a head pin using wire. And if you're really good... A dragonfly pendant!

Learn to knot your precious pearls, stones, and beads to keep them secure, and give them that extra touch of class. Also learn to space your “orphan” beads into the latest mixed bead wraparound style!

Learn to cluster beads into beautiful, textural, pendants. Or if you are really fast---earrings! Using the skills you learned from our Beginning Beading and Beginning Wire classes you will learn to create works of art. This technique is versatile and lovely.

Susi Thompson's Sculptural Beading (Materials not included) $35.00
Learn to make a seed bead bezel around a flat back cabochon and create a sampler of stitches. With the skills you learn in this class you will be able to make your own beaded sculpture. This is a fun way to use up extra beads. Knowledge of peyote stitch is helpful. Bring spare beads to class.

Fantastic textural pieces using yarn, ribbon, and cording! It's all about color, texture, and design. Bring all your scraps, stones, and orphan beads. Turn them into wearable art.

Brenda Schlegel The Ring in the Rock Faux Enameling (Some Materials Included) $45.00 (kits may be purchased at class)
Come and learn how to decorate your jewelry pieces using resin inlay colors! The process will be explained and example pieces displayed to demonstrate different design possibilities. Students will experiment creating their own samples of faux enameling, using metal forms and tools provided by the instructor, and will leave with a finished piece!

Tiaras, WOW they're expensive! Bridesmaids jewelry, oops that wasn't in the budget. Need earrings just the right length? Favors? Mother-in-law gift!!!! Here at String Bead we have a staff who has a vast experience designing and coordinating wedding accessories. How about planning your bridal shower here at String Bead? Get your bridesmaids and all your friends and family together to help you get your accessories together. We will charge you only a $50.00 party fee, plus materials no matter how many people you bring!

Christine Connerly (Materials not Included) $35.00
We will make a sampler of beads and explore a host of different finishes and techniques including matte, gloss, and faux Lampwork (using a heat embossing tool). Paper beads are light and durable and can be made from any kind of paper, from newspaper to handmade art paper. They make a wonderful focal or accent bead, and look beautiful combined with everything from glass to gemstones. All skill levels!

Fun, easy, and you don't have to worry about making mistakes! It's all about going with flow. You will want to bring varying sizes and shapes of beads, along with some seed beads for the base, your choice in how big or small.
